Smoke-free Poland?

News has it that Poland will be smoke-free as of 15th November.  Coming from smoke-free Britian it's still strange for me going into smoky pubs here, and I really don't enjoy inhaling second hand smoke whilst eating, but smoking seems so part of the culture here that I wonder if the ban will be enforced.  Many people don't really believe that it will go ahead, or that it'll work, but I guess we'll find out next week!

  2. Haha! Boo for me as I'll be there on 20th! Ah well! As a smoker I like that you can't smoke in pubs/restaurants to a degree as I don't like smelling of smoke/my eyes hurt! However, I also don't like it when you do go outside and non-smokers feel the need to comment. I'm outside...what more do you want you judgemental moron?!

  3. Well if it's the final rule then it's the final rule...and Poles will have to start to learn to obey them. They obey not jaywalking across the streets...so I think eventually they will obey not smoking in public places. It all depends on how strict the pubs and the law will be. Will it be a strict on the spot fine if caught? I bloody hope so!!!!
